OEM Sampling & Approval
Grip Socks Sampling Process: From Brief to Production Reference
Yuintal develops custom grip sock samples for studios, brands, distributors and activity venues. The process confirms the sock structure, materials, colors, logo, PVC or silicone grip, sizing and packaging before bulk production. Sampling takes 5-7 working days for trampoline and playground socks and 10-20 working days for yoga, sports and toe socks after the main specification and artwork are confirmed.
Purpose of Sampling
What a Custom Grip Sock Sample Should Confirm
A sample is an approval tool, not a promise that every future change is included. It gives the buyer and factory one physical reference for the agreed product details before the order moves into bulk production.
Construction & Fit
Sock height, cuff, arch structure, heel and toe shape, stretch and the intended size range.
Yarn & Color
The selected yarn combination, body colors and color placement based on the approved specification.
Logo Execution
Logo method, dimensions, position and appearance on the chosen sock structure.
Grip Application
PVC or silicone material, sole pattern, coverage, color and placement for the intended product.
Size Marking
Size groups, marking method and how the size breakdown will be organized for production and packing.
Labels & Packaging
Care labels, hang tags, cards, barcodes and retail packaging where these are included in the sample scope.
Six Controlled Stages
Yuintal's Grip Socks Sampling and Approval Process
Clear inputs at the beginning reduce avoidable revisions later. The sequence below separates product definition, physical sample development and buyer approval.
Requirement Review
Share the intended application, estimated quantity, preferred sock style, size range, colors, logo files, grip direction and packaging requirement. Yuintal reviews whether the requested combination can be sampled as proposed.
Artwork and Specification Confirmation
The agreed product details are organized into a working specification. Artwork, color references, logo method, grip material and pattern, size planning and packaging scope are confirmed before physical sampling begins.
Sample Fee, Freight and Schedule Confirmation
The sample fee, shipping cost and estimated sampling schedule are confirmed before dispatch arrangements. Yuintal does not use one fixed sample fee because construction, materials, grip artwork and packaging vary by project.
Physical Sample Development
The sample is knitted, finished and supplied with the agreed grip application and included branding details. Category-specific timing starts after the principal specification, artwork and required materials are sufficiently confirmed.
Buyer Review, Feedback and Revision
The buyer checks the physical sample against the brief and sends consolidated comments. Any change to materials, structure, artwork, sizing, grip or packaging is reviewed for feasibility, cost and timing before a revised sample is arranged.
Written Sample Approval and Bulk Handoff
After the buyer provides written approval, the approved sample and final specification become the production reference. Bulk scheduling follows order confirmation and deposit rather than starting automatically when a sample is delivered.
Planning Reference
Sample Timing and MOQ by Product Category
There is no single sampling time or MOQ for every grip sock. Use the product category as the starting point, then confirm the final plan against the actual design.
| Product category | Standard custom MOQ | Sample development | Bulk production |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trampoline & playground socks | From 1,000 pairs per color per design | 5-7 working days after specification and artwork confirmation | 22-35 working days after sample approval and deposit |
| Yoga, Pilates & sports socks | From 500 pairs per color per design for standard programs | 10-20 working days after specification and artwork confirmation | 30-45 working days after sample approval and deposit |
| Toe socks | From 500 pairs per color per design | 10-20 working days after specification and artwork confirmation | 30-45 working days after sample approval and deposit |
Special material, structure or process requirements are recalculated against the approved sample. Peak-season schedules may require approximately 10 additional days. Timelines are recalculated against the approved sample and confirmed on the order confirmation.
Buyer Review Checklist
How to Review the Physical Sample
Review the sample as a product specification, not only as a visual mockup. Feedback is more actionable when it identifies the exact feature, location and requested change.
Check Before Approval
- Construction, height, cuff tension and general fit
- Size marking and intended size grouping
- Yarn feel, stretch and agreed material direction
- Body color and color placement under consistent lighting
- Logo method, size, position and legibility when worn
- PVC or silicone grip pattern, coverage, color and alignment
- Labels, hang tags, barcode and packaging if included
- All comments recorded in one written approval or revision list
Separate Adjustments from Specification Changes
A small visual adjustment and a new product structure are not the same type of revision. Changes to the material, sock construction, size plan, grip process or packaging format may require a new quotation, revised timing or another physical sample.
Yuintal reviews each requested change before proceeding. The number of revisions is not presented as a universal allowance because project complexity and the source of the change differ.
After Approval
How the Approved Sample Moves into Bulk Production
Written approval closes the development stage and establishes the reference for production. It does not remove normal order confirmation, payment and quality-control steps.
1. Final Specification
The approved artwork, product details, size and color allocation, grip requirements and packaging scope are recorded for the order.
2. Order & Deposit
The order is confirmed and bulk production is scheduled after the agreed deposit. Standard terms are T/T: 30% deposit and 70% balance before shipment.
3. Production Controls
Incoming-material review, knitting first-piece check, grip application check, size and appearance check, packing check and shipment release are applied as production-control stages.

Frequently Asked Questions
Grip Socks Sampling Process FAQ
How long does Yuintal take to make a custom grip sock sample?
Trampoline and playground sock samples typically take 5-7 working days. Yoga, sports and toe-sock samples typically take 10-20 working days. Timing starts after the main specification, artwork and required materials are sufficiently confirmed.
What information should we send before sampling?
Send the intended application, estimated quantity, preferred sock style, size range, colors, logo artwork, preferred grip material and pattern direction, packaging requirement and any reference images. Clear inputs make the feasibility review and quotation more accurate.
Are custom grip sock samples free?
Yuintal confirms the sample fee and freight before dispatch. The amount depends on the construction, materials, artwork, grip requirements and packaging scope, so a universal free-sample or fixed-fee policy is not stated.
How many sample revisions are included?
Revision needs are reviewed by project rather than promised as a fixed number. Adjustments within the confirmed concept and changes to materials, structure, size planning, grip process or packaging can have different cost and timing effects.
Can we change the specification after approving the sample?
A post-approval change must be reviewed before production continues. Material, construction, artwork, sizing, grip or packaging changes may require a revised quotation, new timing or another sample because the approved sample is the bulk-production reference.
What happens after written sample approval?
The approved sample and final specification are handed over as the production reference. Bulk production is then scheduled after order confirmation and deposit, followed by the applicable production-control, packing, balance-payment and shipment steps.
What is the MOQ after the sample is approved?
Standard Yoga, Pilates, sports and toe-sock programs start from 500 pairs per color per design. Playground, trampoline and other custom programs start from 1,000 pairs per color per design. Special material, structure or process requirements are recalculated against the approved sample.
